The meeting was called to order by Mayor Kristen Schreder with the following Council
Members present: Adam McElvain, Francie Sullivan, and Brent Weaver. Council Member
Julie Winter was absent.
Also present were: City Manager Barry Tippin, City Attorney Barry E. DeWalt,Assistant City
Manager Sheri DeMaagd, Development Services Director Larry Vaupel, Community
Development Manager Steve Bade, City Clerk Pamela Mize, and Executive Assistant
Sharlene Tipton.
PUBLIC HEARINGS, PETITIONS, AND PROTESTS
2.1. Public Hearing and Resolution— Regarding the Proposed 2018-19 Modified Action
Plan.

Community Development Manager Bade highlighted the Report to the City Council
(staff report), and provided a PowerPoint presentation, both incorporated herein by
reference.
The hour of 6:00 p.m. having arrived, Mayor Schreder opened the public hearing to
consider the Proposed 2018-19 Modified Action Plan.
The Affidavit of Publication — Notice of Public Hearing is on file in the Office of the
City Clerk.
Mayor Schreder determined that no one present wished to address this matter and
closed the public hearing.
A discussion amongst the Council ensued.
A MOTION WAS MADE by Council Member Sullivan, seconded by Council
Member Weaver, to: (1) adopt Resolution No. 2018-101, a resolution of the City
Council of the City of Redding accepting the proposed 2018-19 Modified Annual
Action Plan to include the award of a Declared Disaster Recovery Fund in the amount
of $1,797,338; and (2) authorize the City Manager, or designee, to sign the Funding
Approval/Agreement and all necessary documents to submit the Modified Action Plan
to the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development.
The Vote:
AYES: Council Members - McElvain, Sullivan, Weaver, and Schreder
NOES: Council Members - None
ABSTAIN: Council Members - None
ABSENT: Council Members - Winter
Resolution No. 2018-101 is on file in the Office of the City Clerk.
ADJOURNMENT
There being no further business, Mayor Schreder declared the meeting adjourned at the hour
of 6:06 p.m.
