Council Member Murray was absent. I Also present were City Manager Starman, Assistant City Manager Tippin, City Attorney Duvernay, and Personnel Director Johnson. At the hour of 6: 15 p.m., Mayor Stegall announced that the City Council would adjourn to closed session to discuss the following: Closed session pursuant to California Government Code Section 54956.8: CONFERENCE WITH REAL PROPERTY NEGOTIATOR Property located at 5369/5655 Indianwood Drive (Assessor Parcel Numbers 48-540-036 and 48-400-005) Agency Negotiator: Community Services Director Niemer Negotiating Parties: City of Redding and Dan and Sandra Kowall Under Negotiation: Price and Terms (C-070-010) Closed session pursuant to California Government Code Section 54957.6: CONFERENCE WITH LABOR NEGOTIATOR Designated Agency Representative: Personnel Director Johnson Employee Organization: Local Union 1245 of International Brotherhood of Electrical . Workers AFL-CIO - Maintenance Employees (P-100-050-070) I Closed session pursuant to California Government Code Section 54957.6: CONFERENCE WITH LABOR NEGOTIATOR Designated Agency Representative: Personnel Director Johnson Employee Organization: Local Union 1245 of International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers AFL-CIO - Electric Employees (P-100-050-070) Closed session pursuant to California Government Code Section 54957.6: CONFERENCE WITH LABOR NEGOTIATOR Designated Agency Representative: Assistant City Attorney DeWalt Contract between the City (through the Office of the City Attorney) and Central Valley Project Corporation (E-120-028 & A-050-050) Closed session pursuant to California Government Code Section 549576.9(b)(3)(C): CONFERENCE WITH LEGAL COUNSEL - ANTICIPATED LITIGATION Significant exposure to litigation Claim No. 09-0008-861 by Shasta Union High School District (re 18-inch water main break) One (1) case (L-100) I At the hour of7:09 p.m., Mayor Stegall reconvened the Special Meeting to open session. City Attorney Duvernay reported that with regard to the Anticipated Litigation-Claim No. 09-0008-861 by Shasta Union High School District for the 18-inch water main break, the City Council authorized the City Manager and the City Attorney to negotiate a settlement of the claim in the amount of$40,712. Mayor Stegall advised that with regard to the remaining items that there was no reportable action taken. 11/18/2008 206 There being no further business, at the hour of7: 1 0 p.m., Mayor Stegall declared the meeting adjourned.
