HomeMy WebLinkAboutMinutes - City Council - 2006-01-17 - Special Meeting 13 City Council, Special Meeting Council Chambers 777 Cypress Avenue Redding, California January 17, 2006 5 :45 p.m. The meeting was called to order by Mayor Murray with the following Council Members present: Dickerson, Mathena, Pohlmeyer, and Stegall. I Also present were City Manager Warren, Assistant City Manager Starman, Deputy City Manager Bachman, Personnel Director Johnson, and City Attorney Duvernay. At the hour of 5:45 p.m., Mayor Murray announced that the City Council would adjourn to closed session to discuss the following: Closed session pursuant to California Government Code Section 54957.6: CONFERENCE WITH LABOR NEGOTIATOR Designated Agency Representative: Personnel Director Johnson Employee Organization: All Represented and Unrepresented Employees (P-100-050) Closed session pursuant to California Government Code Section 54956.8: CONFERENCE WITH REAL PROPERTY NEGOTIATOR Property identified as Assessor Parcel Numbers (APN) 077 -290-033, -034, and -037 located off Oak Mesa Lane near Shasta View Drive Agency Negotiator: Cornmunity Services Director Niemer Negotiating parties: City of Redding and Stephen Gregory Under negotiation: Price and Terms (C-070-01O) I Closed session pursuant to California Government Code Section 54956 .9( c): CONFERENCE WITH LEGAL COUNSEL - ANTICIPATED LITIGATION . Initiation of litigation One (1) case (L~ 100) Closed session pursuant to California Government Code Section 54957: PUBLIC EMPLOYMENT Title: City Manager (A-050-080 & P-100-060) At the hour of7 :00 p.m., Mayor Murray reconvened the Special Meeting to open session and advised that there was no reportable action taken with the exception of the item regarding anticipated litigation. With respect to anticipated litigation, he reported that the City Council, by unanimous vote, authorized the City Attorney to initiate litigation, if necessary, against a certain party. The particulars concerning the case and the parties involved may be disclosed to any person inquiring when the City Attorney takes official action on behalf of the City to file necessary documentation with the Court.
