HomeMy WebLinkAboutMinutes - City Council - 2005-07-19 - Special Meeting 174 ~~ City Council, Special Meeting Council Chambers 777 Cypress Avenue Redding, California July 19, 2005 6:00 p.m. The meeting was called to order by Mayor Mathena with the following Council Members present: Dickerson, Murray, Pohlmeyer, and Stegall. Also present were City Attorney Warren, Assistant City Manager Perry, Assistant City Manager Starman, City Attorney Duvernay, Fire Chief Fry, and Personnel Director Johnson. At the hour of 6:00 p.m., Mayor Mathena announced that the City Council would adjourn to closed session to discuss the following: I Closed session pursuant to California Government Code Section 54956.9(c): CONFERENCE WITH LEGAL COUNSEL - ANTICIPATED LITIGATION Initiation of litigation ( one case) (L-100) Closed session pursuant to California Government Code Section 54956.8: CONFERENCE WITH REAL PROPERTY NEGOTIATOR Property located at 2440 Airpark Drive Agency Negotiator: City Manager Warren Negotiating parties: City of Redding and Dr. Craig Kraffert Under negotiation: Price and terms of sale (C-070-200) Closed session pursuant to California Government Code Section 54956.8: CONFERENCE WITH REAL PROPERTY NEGOTIATOR Property located at 2410 Sonoma Street Agency Negotiator: Assistant City Manager Perry I Negotiating parties: City of Redding and Carla Hays (Trion Development) and Randall Yelverton (Dr. Mark Doyle) ~Under negotiation: Terms and Price (C-070-200) Closed session pursuant to California Government Code Section 54957.6: CONFERENCE WITH LABOR NEGOTIATOR Designated Agency Representative: Personnel Director Johnson and Fire Chief Fry Employee Organization: Local Union 1934 of International Association of Fire Fighters - AFL-CIO (P-100-050-050) At the hour of7:00 p.m., Mayor Mathena reconvened the Special Meeting to open session and advised that there was no reportable action taken with the exception of the matter involving anticipated litigation. He reported that by unanimous vote, the City Council authorized legal counsel to intervene, if deemed prudent, in the pending litigation referenced above. There being no further business, at the hour of 7:00 p.m., Mayor Mathena declared the meeting adjourned. APPROVED I ATTEST: City Clerk 7/1912005
