AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF REDDING ADOPTING THE
MITIGATED NEGATIVE DECLARATION ADOPTING AN AMENDMENT
TO THE CITY OF REDDING ZONING MAP RELATING TO THE
REZONING OF THE RANDHAWA PROPERTY (APN 109-080-007)
CONSISTING OF APPROXIMATELY 1.2 ACRES LOCATED AT 2450
GOODWATER AVENUE IN THE CITY OF REDDING (RZ-2017-00954)
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDDING DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. Finding of fact: the City finds and declares as follows:
A. The Zoning Map of the City of Redding is incorporated in and made part of Redding
Municipal Code Title 18, known as the City of Redding Zoning Ordinance.
B. The Planning Commission held a duly noticed public hearing pertaining to said
amendment on March 27, 2018, April 24, 2018, and May 8, 2018, for RZ-2017-00954
to allow for the development of a 3,180-square-foot convenience gas mart and carwash
as identified in Site Development Permit Application SDP-2017-01262 and
recommended that the City Council adopt the Mitigated Negative Declaration prepared Q.)
for the project and the attached amendment to the Zoning Map. ;v
C. The City Council held a duly noticed public hearing on June 19, 2018, prior to the first
reading of this ordinance.
D. The proposed amendment to the Zoning Map is consistent with the General Plan and
any applicable specific plan.
E. Adoption of this ordinance will not adversely impact the welfare of the citizens of the
City of Redding and its surrounding region.
Section 2. On the basis of the initial study for Rezoning Application RZ-2017-00954
prepared by the Development Services Department, the City Council finds that the subject rezoning
will not have a significant effect on the environment and adopts the Mitigated Negative Declaration
with the following findings;
1. The City of Redding has completed a Mitigated Negative Declaration for the rezoning.
Based on the analysis of the potential impacts associated with the rezoning, the project
will not have a significant effect on the environment.
2. The Mitigated Negative Declaration and its supporting documentation reflect the
independent judgement and analysis of the City of Redding.
Section 3. The boundaries of the districts referred to in Section 18.01.050 of the Redding
Municipal Code, as designated on a map entitled "Zoning Map of the City of Redding, California,"

hereof by;
LOCATION: Approximately 1.2 acres located at 2450 Goodwater Avenue

Section 4. This ordinance shall take effect thirty (30) days after the date of its adoption; and
the City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this ordinance and cause its publication according to
law.
I HEREBY CERTIFY that this ordinance was introduced and read by the City Council of the City
of Redding at a regular meeting on the 19`h day of June, 2018, and was read and adopted at a regular
meeting on the 17th day of July, 2018, by the following vote:
