RESOLUTION NO. 2000- 184
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
REDDING RENAMING THE 2100 BLOCK OF AKARD

Code; and
WHEREAS, on October 24, 2000, the Planning Commission held a duly noticed public
hearing to consider the proposed name change; and
WHEREAS,the Planning Commission has recommended to the City Council that the 2100
Block of Akard Avenue —as shown on the location map attached and made a part hereof—be
renamed Civic Center Drive; and
WHEREAS, property owners and occupants potentially affected by the proposed name

Redding that:
A. Pursuant to the authority vested in the City Council by Streets and Highways Code Section
5026 and Redding Municipal Code Section 17.34.020,the City Council hereby approves the

follows;and that street numbers be assigned by City staff consistent with current addressing
policy:

and Cypress Avenue, which is planned for the Fall of 2000, new street signs shall be
installed that identify both the existing and newly established street names.
