A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDDING ORDERING
TERRITORY DESIGNATED AS "ANNEXATION 99-2, LAKE BOULEVARD AREA"
ANNEXED TO THE CITY OF REDDING
WHEREAS, the Local Agency Formation Commission of the County of Shasta adopted its
Resolution No. 00-07 on June 1, 2000, making determinations and approving the proposed
annexation to the City of Redding of territory; and
WHEREAS, the terms and conditions of annexation as approved by the Local Agency
Formation Commission are as follows: Boundaries approved by the Commission are as described
and depicted as Exhibits "A" and "B" attached hereto and by this reference incorporated; and
WHEREAS, the reasons for the annexation are to receive City services; and
WHEREAS, the affected territory will be taxed for existing general bonded indebtedness of
the County Service Areas; and
WHEREAS, the City Council certifies that a negative declaration was adopted for this
annexation pursuant to CEQA; and
WHEREAS,a public hearing on this annexation was called for and held by this Council at the
place and time noticed therefore on August 1, 2000, and this Council finds and determines that the
value of written protests filed and not withdrawn is less than 50 percent of the number of owners of
land owning less than 50 percent of the assessed value of land within the territory.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Redding
hereby orders the territory described in Exhibit "A" annexed and directs the City Clerk of the City
of Redding to transmit a certified copy of this resolution with applicable fees required by
Section 54902.5 of the Government Code to the executive officer of the Local Agency Formation
Commission of Shasta County.
I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Resolution was introduced and read at a special
meeting of the City Council of the City of Redding on the 8th day of August 2000 and was duly
adopted at said meeting by the following vote:

LEGAL DESCRIPTION OF
ANNEXATION LANDS -

All that real property situated in Section 24, T.32N., R.5W., and Section 19 T.32N., R.4W,
M.D.B.&M., County of Shasta, State of California, described as follows:
Beginning at the corner common to the above said Sections as shown on that map recorded in
Book 40 of Land Surveys at page 42, said County, thence; on and along the south line of said
Section 24, S 89° 10' 27" W a distance of 874.02 feet to a point on the westerly right-of-way of
Highway 273, said point also being the southeast corner of Parcel 1 as shown on that map
recorded in Book 26 of Parcel Maps at page 105, said County, thence;on and along said right-of-
way N 11° 43' 08" E, 346.32 feet, thence; N 05° 04' 00" E, 251.39 feet; thence N 09° 30' 44" W,
409.70 feet to the most southeasterly corner of Parcel 1 as shown on that map recorded in Book
21 of Parcel Maps at page 27, said County, thence on and along the easterly line of said Parcel
1 also being the westerly right-of-way line of said Highway 273, N 17° 58' 48" E, 878.14 feet,
thence N 16°05'41"E,443.61 feet, thence;leaving said right-of-way S 74°09'00" E, 230.20 feet
to the most northerly corner of that parcel conveyed to John A. Gavazza per deed recorded in
Book 2615 of Official Records at page 669, said County, thence on and along the northerly line
of said Gavazza parcel S 74° 09' 00" E, 165.36 feet to a point on the west line of that parcel
conveyed to Wolfgang A. Morgenstern per deed recorded in Book 2226 of Official Records at
page 407, said County, thence; on and along said west line N 00° 41' 40" W, 511.33 feet to the
west 1/4 corner of said Section 19, T.32N, R.4W, M.D.B.&M., thence;on and along the east-west
mid-section line of said Section 19, N 89°20' 03" E. 500.00 feet, thence; leaving said mid-section
line, parallel to the west line of said Section 19, S 00° 41' 40" E, 1331.23 feet to the northerly
right-of-way line of Lake Boulevard per deed recorded in Book 945 of Official Records at page
271, said County, thence; on and along said right-of-way line N 79° 48' 33" E. 1064.02 feet,
thence; N 73°50'37"E, 550.99 feet, thence leaving said right-of-way S 12°20'23" E,254.71 feet
to the Northwest corner of that certain parcel described in Quitclaim Deed recorded December 8,
1998, in Book 3790 of Official Records at page 452 of said county, thence; on and along the
Northerly line thereof N 82° 17' 36" E, 61.25 feet to the beginning of a 318.00 foot radius curve
concave Southwesterly, thence; on and along said curve through a central angle of 48° 25' 20"
an arc length of 268.75 feet; thence N 40° 34' 42" E, 22.00 feet to the Northwesterly corner of
Parcel 1 as shown on that certain map recorded in Book 10 of Parcel Maps at page 52 said county
records, thence on and along the Northeasterly line of said parcel S 46°46' 00" E, 902.04 feet to
the Northeasterly corner of the parcel map, thence on and along the Northeasterly line of said
remainder parcel the following courses, continuing S 46° 46' 00" E, 126.25 feet, thence;
S 24°33'07"E, 152.97 feet, thence; S 13°14'30"E, 502.30 feet to the Southeasterly line thereof,
thence; on and along the Southeasterly line thereof S 89° 25' 45" W, 312.81 feet to the South
one-quarter of said Section 19,thence on and along the South line of Section 19, S 89°26'50"W,
3006.69 feet to the Southwest corner of said Section 19 and the Point of Beginning.
