HomeMy WebLinkAboutReso 2000-086 - Buckeye Redevelopment Project RESOLUTION NO. 2000-86 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDDING CONSENTING TO AND SETTING A JOINT PUBLIC HEARING ON THE PROPOSED REDEVELOPMENT PLAN FOR THE BUCKEYE REDEVELOPMENT PROJECT AND THE FINAL ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT REPORT RELATING THERETO. WHEREAS, the Redding Redevelopment Agency (the "Agency"), by Resolution No. 2000-08 on May 2, 2000, submitted to the City Council of the City of Redding (the "City Council") a proposed Final Redevelopment Plan (the "Plan") for the Buckeye Redevelopment Project (the "Project"), a Report to the Legislative Bodies on the proposed Plan, and the proposed Final Environmental Impact Report 1-97 (the "Final EIR") prepared on the Plan, and consented to and requested that the City Council set a joint public hearing of the Agency and the City Council to consider and act upon the proposed Plan, together with a joint public hearing on the proposed Final EIR on the proposed Plan; and WHEREAS, the City Council authorizes acceptance of the proposed Plan, along with the Report to the Legislative Bodies and the proposed Final EIR on the Plan; and WHEREAS, Section 33355 of the California Community Redevelopment Law (Health and Safety Code Section 33000 et seq.) authorizes a joint public hearing on the proposed Plan with the consent of the Agency and the City Council. NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDDING DOES HEREBY RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. The City Council hereby consents to and sets a joint public hearing of the Agency and the City Council on June 6, 2000, at 7:00 p.m. in the City Council Chambers to consider and act upon the proposed Plan and all documents and evidence pertaining thereto, together with a joint public hearing on the proposed Final EIR for the Project. Section 2. The City Clerk of the City of Redding shall, in cooperation with the Secretary of the Agency, prepare, publish, and mail such notices and documents and do all other acts as may be necessary to carry out the purposes of this resolution.
