HomeMy WebLinkAboutReso 2000-042 - Shascom I.,. t �f RESOLUTION NO. 2000-7Q, t A RESOLUTION OF THE REDDING CITY COUNCIL AMENDING SHASCOM JOINT POWERS AGREEMENT WHEREAS, the City of Redding and the County of Shasta are partners in"911" services; and WHEREAS, this partnership is formed under a Joint Powers Agreement between the two parties; and WHEREAS,on occasion amendments need to be made to the Joint Powers Agreement;and WHEREAS, the Sheriff and Undersheriff act interchangeably as Board members; and WHEREAS, it is the desire of the City Council to have the Redding Police Chief and Redding Fire Chief act interchangeably as designated by the City Manager in their roles as Board members. NOW,THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Redding City Council hereby adopts the attached language amending Section 6.0,"Board of Directors,"of the SHASCOM Joint Powers Agreement. ANDERSON, MAYOR ATTEST: Connie Strohmayer, City rk FORM AP, R VED: W. eonard Wingate, Cit3'Attorney D:k'M_NOO r REPORT SIIAMOM A.4T'DMKT.w$ SHASTA AREA SAFETY COMMUNICATIONS AGENCY r MEMORANDUM To: Shasta County Board of Supervisors Redding City Council From: Tim Skalland, General Manager Date: February 29, 2000 Subject: Amendment to SHASCOM JPA— Section 6.0 "Board of Directors" At the February 28, 2000, meeting of the SHASCOM Board of Directors, the Board directed that I provide an Amendment to Section 6.0 of the SHASCOM Joint Powers Agreement, which pertains to the membership of the Board of Directors, for approval by the Board of Supervisors and the City Council. The requested change is the addition as noted below: 6.0 BOARD OF DIRECTORS. SHASCOM shall be governed by a Board of Directors (hereinafter referred to as the "Board"). The Board shall be composed of the following: a. Shasta County Administrative Officer; b. City of Redding City Manager; c. Shasta County Sheriff (or Undersheriff as designated by Sheriff); d. Redding Police Chief* or Fire Chief (as designated by Redding City Manager) *The current non-voting member may be designated to replace the current voting member as designated by the City Manager.
