RESOLUTION NO. 2000-41
A RESOLUTION OF THE REDDING CITY COUNCIL
SUPPORTING STILLWATER BUSINESS AND INDUSTRIAL PARK
WHEREAS, the City of Redding and the County of Shasta have continually had an
unemployment rate much higher than the State average; and
WHEREAS, a majority of the population is underemployed and/or working without health
and dental benefits; and
WHEREAS, the area's Economic Development Corporation has identified a dire need for
available land to site industries or businesses that need large tracts of land; and
WHEREAS, the site that has been identified as the best available property to accomplish this
goal is adjacent to tire Redding Airport and the Economic Development Corporation has an option
on the property; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Redding has indicated in a priority session that
the planning and development of this site is one of the highest priorities of the City.
NOW, THEREFORE, LET IT BE RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of
Redding supports the proper planning and development of said property and authorizes the Mayor
to sign appropriate letters to State and Federal representatives explaining the need for financial
assistance and indicating the high priority the City Council places on the project.

I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Resolution was introduced and read at a special
meeting of the City Council of the City of Redding on the 22'day of February, 2000, and was duly
adopted at said meeting by the following vote:
AYES: COUNCIL MEMBERS: Cibula, Pohlmeyer and Kight
NOES: COUNCIL MEMBERS: None
ABSENT: COUNCIL MEMBERS: None
ABSTAIN: COUNCIL MEMBERS: McGeorge and Anderson
