AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF REDDING AMENDING REDDING MUNICIPAL CODE
CHAPTER 18.49 (HOME OCCUPATIONS) AND
RENUMBERING MINOR PORTIONS OF CHAPTERS
18.08, 18.10, 18.12 AND 18.16 REGARDING PERMITTED
USES IN RESIDENTIAL DISTRICTS.
The City Council of the City of Redding does ordain as follows:
Section 1. Redding Municipal Code Chapter 18.49 is repealed, and a new
Chapter 18.49 (Home Occupations) is added to read as set forth in Exhibit A attached
and made a part hereof by reference.
Section 2. Section 18.08.030 E. of Redding Municipal Code Chapter 18.08
(R-1 Single Family Residential District), is renumbered Section 18.08.020 D. under
Permitted Uses.
Section 3. Section 18.10.030 E. of Redding Municipal Code Chapter 18.10
(R-2 Duplex Residential District), is renumbered Section 18.10.020 E. under Permitted
Uses.
Section 4. Section 18.12.030 D. of Redding Municipal Code Chapter 18.12
(R-3 Multiple Family Residential District), is renumbered Section 18.12.020 D. under
Permitted Uses.
Section 5. Section 18.16.030 E. of Redding Municipal Code Chapter 18.16
(R-4 Multiple Family Residential District), is renumbered Section 18.16.020 D. under
Permitted Uses.
Section 6. The passage of this ordinance is not a "project" according to the
definition in the California Environmental Quality Act, and therefore is not subject to
the provisions requiring environmental review.
Section 7. This ordinance shall take effect 60 days after the date of its
adoption, and the City Clerk shall certify the adoption thereof and cause its publication
according to law.
I HEREBY CERTIFY that this ordinance amending Redding Municipal Code
Chapter 18.49 (Home Occupations), and renumbering minor portions of Chapters
18.08, 18.10, 18.12 and 18.16, was introduced and read by the City Council at a
regular meeting on the 7th day of December, 1999; and was read and adopted at a
regular meeting on the 4th day of January, 2000, by the following vote:
