A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
REDDING AUTHORIZING THE DESTRUCTION OF CERTAIN
RECORDS.
WHEREAS:
A. Section 34090 et seq. of the Government Code specifically provides that certain records may be
destroyed, provided the written consent of the City Attorney has been obtained, and provided the City
Council gives its approval of such destruction by resolution.
B. The City Clerk has recommended that those certain records attached and made a part hereof,which
have been retained for over two years, be destroyed.
C. The City Attorney has given his written consent hereunder to the destruction of said records.
NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS RESOLVED by the City Council that the City Clerk is hereby
authorized to destroy the attached records that are more than two years old; and that nothing herein shall
be deemed to authorize the destruction of any records which are specifically required to be kept by statute.
I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing resolution was introduced,read and adopted at a regular
meeting of the City Council on the 4th day ofSeptembez•2001, by the following vote:
AYES: COUNCIL MEMBERS: Cibula, Kight, Pohlmeyer, Stegall and McGeorge
NOES: COUNCIL MEMBERS: None
ABSENT: COUNCIL MEMBERS: None
ABSTAIN: COUNCIL MEMBERS: None
