A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDDING
ADOPTING A NEGATIVE DECLARATION AND AMENDMENT
TO THE REDDING GENERAL PLAN
WHEREAS, the City Council adopted the General Plan on October 3, 2000; and
WHEREAS, several amendments to the General Plan Diagram are desired to ensure that the Diagram
accurately characterizes the lawfully existing use of various lands; and
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission has reviewed the Initial Study prepared in accordance with the
requirements of the California Environmental Quality Act and recommended preparation of a Negative
Declaration; and
WHEREAS,the Planning Commission held a duly noticed public hearing pertaining to said amendments
on June 26,2001,and recommended that the City Council adopt amendments to the General Plan Diagram
as described on the attached exhibit; and
WHEREAS,The City Council held a duly noticed public hearing on the matter,said hearing held on July 17,
2001;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Redding California, as
follows:
1. The above recitations are true and correct.
2. The City Council has reviewed the proposed Negative Declaration and has determined that the action
contemplated will not have an adverse impact on the environment.
3. The City Council hereby adopts the Negative Declaration and attached amendment Item 3B(943,963,
975, 983, 987, and 999 Mission de Oro Drive) as referred to the City Council by the Planning
Commission.
I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Resolution was introduced and read at a regular meeting of the
City Council of the City of Redding on the t day of ../ 2001 and was fully adopted at said
meeting by the following vote: (
