A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
REDDING AUTHORIZING THE GRANTING OF AN
EASEMENT TO PACIFIC GAS AND ELECTRIC FOR THE
EXTENSION OF GAS SERVICE TO THE NEW REDDING
AQUATIC CENTER.
BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Redding hereby authorizes the
Mayor to execute an Easement from the City of Redding to Pacific Gas and Electric over a portion
of Assessor's Parcel No. 112-140-004. The Easement,a copy of which is attached and made a part
hereof by reference, will allow Pacific Gas and Electric to extend gas service to the new Redding
Aquatic Center in Caldwell Park.
I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing resolution was introduced, read and adopted at
a regular meeting of the City Council on the 16`"day of April, 2002, by the following vote:

EASEMENT
CITY OF REDDING, a public body of the State of California,
hereinafter called first party, hereby grants to PACIFIC GAS AND ELECTRIC
COMPANY, a California corporation, hereinafter called second party, an easement and
right of way to construct, reconstruct, install, inspect, maintain, replace, remove, add to,
and repair, at any time and from time to time, one or more underground pipes with suitable
service pipes and connections, as second party deems necessary for the conveyance of gas;
together with the right of ingress thereto and egress therefrom; in, on, over, under, across
and along that certain real property located in the city of Redding
County of Shasta , State of California, described as follows:

The strip of land which is delineated upon second party's
Drawing No. R-6662, attached hereto and made a part hereof, lying
within the parcel of land situate in Section 25 and Section 26,
Township 32 North, Range 5 West, Mount Diablo Base and Meridian,
bounded on the north by the southerly boundary line of the city
street known as Quartz Hill Road, bounded on the east by the
westerly boundary line of State Highway 273 (North Market Street) ,
bounded on the south by the center line of the Sacramento River,
and bounded on the west by the easterly boundary line of the
railroad right of way of the Southern Pacific Railroad.
The legal description herein, or the map attached hereto, defining the location of this utility
distribution easement, was prepared by Pacific Gas and Electric Company pursuant to
Section 8730(c) of the Business and Professions Code.

First party shall not erect or construct any building or other structure or drill or operate any
well within said strip of land.
The provisions hereof shall inure to the benefit of and bind the successors and assigns of the
respective parties hereto.
