HomeMy WebLinkAboutReso 2002-001 - Hotel Redding Relocation RESOLUTION NO.2002- A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDDING APPROVING THE RELOCATION PLAN FOR THE HOTEL REDDING REHABILITATION PROJECT IN THE MARKET STREET REDEVELOPMENT PROJECT AREA WHEREAS,the City of Redding and the Redding Redevelopment Agency(Agency)are providing financial assistance in the form of loans and grants to Christian Church Homes of Northern California,Inc. (CCH) to assist CCH in the acquisition and rehabilitation of the Hotel Redding into a low-income senior housing project; and WHEREAS,the rehabilitation of the Hotel Redding will result in the displacement of residential tenants in the Market Street Redevelopment Project Area; and WHEREAS,pursuant to Section 6038 of Title 25,Chapter 6 of the California Administrative Code and the Federal Uniform Relocation Assistance and Property Acquisition Act and its implementing regulations in Code of Federal Regulations Parts 24 and 29,prior to a public agency proceeding with any phase of a project that will result in displacement, a relocation plan must be prepared and approved by the legislative body in the community where the displacement will occur; and WHEREAS,a relocation plan has been prepared by CCH,reviewed by City of Redding and Agency staff, and provided to the tenants of the Hotel Redding for review. The relocation plan was also made available to the public. No comments were received by the City or Agency during the 30-day review period. NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Redding: 1. Finds that the foregoing recitals are true and correct; and 2. Approves the Relocation Plan for the Hotel Redding Rehabilitation Project prepared by CCH as presented.
