ORDINANCE NO. 2 3 43 •
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF REDDING AMENDING APPENDIX
"A" TO REDDING MUNICIPAL CODE CHAPTER 2.90 ENTITLED
CONFLICT OF INTEREST FOR DESIGNATED POSITIONS OF THE CITY.
The City Council of the City of Redding does ordain as follows:
Section 1. Redding Municipal Code Chapter 2.90 is amended by adopting a new
Appendix"A"to the Conflict of Interests Code, a copy of which is attached and made a part hereof
by reference.
Section 2. The passage of this ordinance is not a"project"according to the definition in
the California Environmental Quality Act, and therefore is not subject to the provisions requiring
environmental review.
Section 3. This ordinance shall take effect 30 days after the date of its adoption and the
City Clerk shall certify to the adoption thereof and cause its publication according to law.
I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing ordinance was introduced and read by the City
Council at a regular meeting on the 3rd day of December 2002; and was duly read and adopted at
regular meeting on the 17th day of December, 2002, by the following vote:

category in the Conflict of Interest Code,subject to the following limitations:
Limitations: The City Manager or his designee may determine in writing that a particular consultant,although a
"designated position,"is hired to perform a range of duties that are limited in scope,and thus is not required to fully
comply with the disclosure requirements described in this section. Such written determination shall include a
description of the consultant's duties and, based upon that description, a statement of the extent of disclosure
requirements. The determination of the City Manager or his designee is a public record and shall be retained for public
inspection in the same manner and location as this Conflict of Interest Code.
