AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF REDDING ADOPTING AN
ADDENDUM TO THE MITIGATED NEGATIVE DECLARATION
PREPARED FOR THE CITY OF REDDING ZONING MAP AND
AMENDMENT TO THE CITY OF REDDING ZONING MAP
RELATING TO THE REZONING OF THE RIVERWAY VILLAS
SUBDIVISION PROPERTY (APN# 050-330-022) CONSISTING OF 4.16
ACRES LOCATED AT 2375 STAR DRIVE IN THE CITY OF
REDDING (RZ-2016-000368)
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF REDDING AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. Finding offact: the City finds and declares as follows:
A. The Zoning Map of the City of Redding is incorporated in and made part of the
Redding Municipal Code Title 18, known as the City of Redding Zoning Ordinance.
B. The Planning Commission held a duly noticed public hearing pertaining to the
amendment to the Zoning Map on September 27, 2016 (RZ-2016-00368), and
recommended that the City Council adopt the Addendum to the Mitigated Negative
Declaration prepared for the City of Redding Zoning Map and the attached amendment
to the Zoning Map.
C. The City Council held a duly noticed public hearing on November 1, 2016, prior to the
first reading of the ordinance.
D. The proposed amendment to the Zoning Map is consistent with the General Plan and
any applicable specific plans.
E. Adoption of this ordinance will not negatively impact the welfare of the citizens of
Redding and its surrounding region.
Section 2. On the basis of the initial study for Rezoning Application RZ-2016-00368
prepared by the Development Services Department, the City Council finds that the subject C'
rezoning will not have a significant effect on the environment and approves the Mitigated q�
Negative Declaration with the following findings: ✓1

1. The City of Redding has completed a Mitigated Negative Declaration for the rezoning. J
Based on analysis of the potential impacts associated with the rezoning, the project will
not have a significant effect on the environment.
2. The Mitigated Negative Declaration and its supporting documentation reflect the
independent judgment and analysis of the City of Redding.
Section 3. The boundaries of the districts referred to in Section 18.01.050 of the Redding
Municipal Code, as designated on a map entitled "Zoning Map of the City of Redding,
California," dated January 7, 2003, are hereby altered as set forth on the map attached hereto and
made a part hereof by:
REZONING: 4.16 acres at 2375 Star Drive
FROM: "RM -9" Residential Multiple Family
TO: "RM -9 -PD" Residential Multiple Family — Planned Development

Section 4. This ordinance shall take effect thirty (30) days after the date of its adoption;
and the City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this ordinance and cause its publication
according to law.
I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing ordinance was introduced and read by City
Council of the City of Redding at a regular meeting on the 1 st day of November, 2016, and was
duly read and adopted at a regular meeting on the 15th day of November, 2016, by the following
vote:
