AUTHORITY OF THE CITY ATTORNEY TO BIND THE CITY
BY CONTRACT
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDDING DOES ORDAIN AS
FOLLOWS:
Section 1. Title 2 (Administration and Personnel), Chapter 2.12 (City
Attorney), Section 2.12.030 is amended to read as follows:
2.12.030 — Contracts for Special Services.
The City Attorney may enter into contracts for special legal and expert services to

providing the services are specially trained, experienced and competent to perform the
special services required.
Section 2. Severability. If any section, subsection, subdivision, paragraph,
sentence, clause or phrase of this Ordinance, or its application to any person or

unenforceability shall not affect the validity or enforceability of the remaining sections,
subsections, subdivisions, paragraphs, sentences, clauses or phrases of this Ordinance, or
its application to any person or circumstance. The City Council of the City of Redding
hereby declares that it would have adopted each section, subsection subdivision
paragraph, sentence, clause or phrase hereof, irrespective of the fact that any one or more
