HomeMy WebLinkAboutReso 2016-018 - AFL-CIO Maintenance EmployeesRESOLUTION NO. 2016-18 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDDING ADOPTING THE MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING BETWEEN THE CITY OF REDDING AND THE INTERNATIONAL BROTHERHOOD OF ELECTRICAL WORKERS AFL-CIO — MAINTENANCE EMPLOYEES AMENDING THE SCHEDULE OF WAGE RATES, EFFECTIVE JANUARY 31, 2016 WHEREAS, International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers AFL-CIO — Maintenance Employees (IBEW-Maintenance) has been recognized as the majority representative of an appropriate unit of employees; and WHEREAS, the designated representatives of the City of Redding have conferred with and entered into a Memorandum of Understanding with the designated representatives of the IBEW — Maintenance, as required by the provisions of the Meyers-Milias-Brown Act of 1968; and WHEREAS, a copy of the Memorandum of Understanding is available for review in the Office of the City Clerk; and WHEREAS, the City Council deems it to be in the best interest of the City to adopt such recommendation. NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Redding that the aforesaid Memorandum of Understanding and schedule of wage rates is hereby approved and shall be effective January 31, 2016.
