HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinance - 2542 - Churn Creek RoadORDINANCE NO. 2542 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF REDDING REPEALING SECTION 16.20.230 OF THE REDDING MUNICIPAL CODE RELATING TO THE CHURN CREEK ROAD TRAFFIC IMPACT FEE ZONE WHEREAS, because the City Council of the City of Redding has determined that the traffic impact fees to be assessed pursuant to Redding Municipal Code Section 16.20.230 (Churn Creek Road Traffic Impact Fee Zone) have hampered development in that zone; and WHEREAS, no traffic impact fees have been collected since the inception of the Churn Creek Road Traffic Impact Fee Zone; and WHEREAS, repealing the Churn Creek Road Traffic Impact Fee Zone would spur development in that zone; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDDING AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. Section 16.20.230 of the Redding Municipal Code is hereby repealed. Section 2. The passage of this ordinance is not a "project" according to the definition in the California Environmental Quality Act, and therefore is not subject to the provisions requiring environmental review. Section 3. This ordinance shall take effect thirty (30) days after the date of its adoption, and the City Clerk shall certify to the adoption thereof and cause its publication according to law.
