HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinance - 2540 - Redding Zoning MapORDINANCE NO. 2540 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF REDDING ADOPTING AN ADDENDUM TO THE MITIGATED NEGATIVE DECLARATION PREPARED FOR THE CITY OF REDDING ZONING MAP AND AMENDMENTS TO THE CITY OF REDDING ZONING MAP (RZ- 2015-00517) NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDDING AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. Finding of fact: the City finds and declares as follows: A. The Zoning Map of the City of Redding is incorporated in and made part of the Redding Municipal Code Title 18, known as the City of Redding Zoning Ordinance. B. The Planning Commission held a duly noticed public hearing pertaining to the amendments to the Zoning Map on November 10, 2015 (RZ-2015-00517), and recommended that the City Council adopt the Addendum to the Mitigated Negative Declaration prepared for the City of Redding Zoning Map and the attached amendments to the Zoning Map pertaining thereto. C. The City Council held a duly noticed public hearing on Jan 19, 2016, prior to the first reading of the ordinance. D. The proposed amendments to the Zoning Map are consistent with the General Plan and any applicable specific plan. E. Adoption of this ordinance will not impact the welfare of the citizens of Redding and its surrounding region. Section 2. The City Council hereby adopts the Addendum to the Zoning Code Mitigated Negative Declaration prepared for the City of Redding Zoning Map. Section 3. The City Council hereby adopts the amendments to the City of Redding Zoning Map as designated on the attached maps to be incorporated in Redding Municipal Code Title 18, entitled Zoning Ordinance. Section 4. This ordinance shall take effect thirty (30) days after the date of its adoption; and the City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this ordinance and cause its publication according to law.
