AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF REDDING AMENDING TITLE 11
(VEHICLES AND TRAFFIC) CHAPTER 11.20 (WEIGHT
RESTRICTIONS) BY AMENDING SECTION 11.20.010A RELATIVE TO
STREETS WHERE VEHICLES OVER EIGHT TONS ARE PROHIBITED
Section 1. Title 11 (Vehicles and Traffic), Chapter 11.20 (Weight Restrictions),
Section 11.20.010A is hereby amended as follows:
11.20.010 - Vehicles over eight tons prohibited.
A. Except as provided in this section, it is unlawful for any person to operate any vehicle
having a gross weight (laden or unladen) in excess of eight tons over or on the following
described streets of the city:
1. Athens Avenue from South Street to Park Marina Drive;
2. California Street from Gold Street to South Market Street;
3. Canal Drive from Lowe Avenue to Locust Street;
4. Christine Avenue from Del Mar Avenue to Santa Fe Avenue;
5. Continental Street from South Street to Sacramento Street;
6. Coronado Street from Del Mar Avenue to Santa Fe Avenue;
7. Del Mar Avenue from Market Street to Christine Avenue;
8. Delta Street from Del Mar Avenue to Benton Drive;
9. Gold Street from East Street to Canal Drive;
10. Grape Avenue from Locust Street to -south line of Anderson Subdivision;
11. Lee Street from Garden Avenue to Sequoia Street;
12. Lincoln Street from East Street to Canal Drive;
13. Loma Street from Del Mar Avenue to Benton Drive;
14. London Avenue from Athens Avenue to South Street;
15. Lowe Avenue from Sequoia Street to Canal Drive;
16. Olympus Avenue from Athens Avenue to Park Marina Drive;
17. Paris Avenue from Athens Avenue to South Street;
18. Rome Avenue from Athens Avenue to Park Marina Drive;
19. Santa Fe Avenue from Loma Street to Christine Avenue;
20. Washington Avenue from Rome Avenue to South Street.

Section 2. The passage of this ordinance is not a "project" according to the definition
in the California Environmental Quality Act and therefore is not subject to the provisions
requiring environmental review.
Section 3. This ordinance shall take effect thirty (30) days after its adoption and the
City Clerk shall certify the adoption thereof and cause its publication according to law.
I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing ordinance was introduced and read by the City
Council at a regular meeting on the 16th day of December, 2014, and was duly read and adopted
at a regular meeting on the 20th day of January, 2014, by the following vote:
